Introduction: |
My name is Paul Baddeley, but you probably know that already, you probably know me? The idea of this web-site is to display some of my favorite pictures, to give some information on adventure travel in a variety of places. This year I was on my bike a lot, Tirol is an awesome place to bike, and I have reflected this here with route descriptions, maps, and even a video to see. When the snow comes then its time to swap the bike for skis, and experience the same sort of thrills on the snow. I guess I have a serious adrenaline / endorphin addiction. The rest of the site has lots of information on massage, yoga, travel, graphic design, etc,.This is a non-commercial web site |
03:03:2009 - Update (sorry it took so long, too busy biking and skiing to sit in front of computer all day) |

Progress might be slow when it comes to my web-site, but with my skiing in winter and biking in summer things are improving steadily. This year I finally done my ski teacher exam and have been working since 21st December in Kühtai for Wolfgang Mair from TOP2000 ski school. The job itself suits me well the main two problems being the 6 day week and the bad pay. I always said that the quality of life is the most important thing, and teaching beats being stuck in a shop for 50 hours a week. |

Last summer was fine, most of the time working for wiggi-rafting in Haiming (as usual) but with a month in Switzerland working for Fletch at Engadine Adventures. After getting ripped of through ebay I finally got my money back and the got my hands on a Norco Six One, a true freeride/super enduro bike. At the end of summer Andy, Mario and myself had a week in Süd Tirol with some great biking, see the report here |

The winter has been great, lots of snow and lots of chances to run the POW POW POWDER. I am skiing much better these days, the Austrian ski teacher course made me aware of some basic mistakes in my skiing. It took some hard work but I am standing on the skis much better than before. I am still very happy with the Movement skis for the powder, and also got a cheap pair of Dynastar slalom skis for teaching. The only thing I am missing is a good pieps (avalanche transceiver). Have been testing different models with the Mammut Barryvox wining hands down !! Just have to find the right price a a bit of spare cash, will get it together by next season. |
