      :: Canyoning Nepal ::

Back in 1998 I was lucky enough to get the job of starting canyoning in Nepal. This meant first finding a suitable gorge, as it turned out the area up near the Arniko highway (road to Tibet) is perfect terrirory for canyoning. Then after much careful reconnaisance it was time to link it all up in the first decent. All of the bolts we drilled by hand, there is no mountain rescue up there, no other canyoning guides, or, come to mention it, not even another rope at the time, let alone anybody who would know what to do with it.....

Pictures from Canyoning in Nepal:
Unfortunately the pictures are not of the best quality. They where taken on a simple waterproof Minolta camera. The pictures where then developed in Nepal. Then years later I scanned the pictures/slides into the computer on a home flat bed scanner. Sorry can't do much better than what you see here. Photoshop can do a lot for a picture but you can never make a bad picture good, you can change it into something else, but good must start out good.
